I don't like how this pirate is turning out, so I am moving on to cut out another quilt! ! Kaffe fabrics make me happy.

What to do now!

I made these dresden plates in the winter......nice and cheery. I haven't done anything with them. I did decide that they are no longer exciting.  So I went upstairs to my sewing room in search of black or brown polka. No such luck. But I did find "Effervescence" by Kauffman. Take a look at the before and after centers!!!! Now I'm debating on what color background and the layout!!!  Comments needed. ...

Amish folded star Hot pad tutorial

So I found this wonderful tutorial on Youtube. I thought it would be complicated, but it wasn't. This is a pic of my first one. My only mistake was the binding not being cut on the bias. 😕

Sent this to the quilter today.  It is entirely to big for me to try to quilt on my machine.  I have taken the class to machine quilt my quilts (twice), I guess I am fearful that I will make a mess of them.  Lord knows I don't want to have to take stitches out.  So for now I will leave my quilting to the professionals!!
